Liam has been making a lot of progress over the past few days. His recent chest tube output and X-rays showed that the fluid around his lungs decreased significantly, and they were able to remove the chest tube. The follow up chest X-rays and blood work looked reassuring to his care team, and they let us bring Liam home yesterday evening. He will be on a fat free diet with diuretic medications for a few weeks, and we will do a follow up chest X-ray later this week.
Before leaving yesterday we were able to bring Liam down to see the large Christmas tree in the hospital lobby, which was a special moment for us. It’s good to be home, again ❤️
